Brief History About the Department :
The department was running from the establishment of the college in the Year of 1990 and the major courses was introduced in the year of 2011. In the beginning the head of the department was Mr. Ratul Borboruah.
- The Honours, General & DSE courses are offered
- Admission Criteria : Selection process is preferred according to the choice of the Students.

Facilities Available In The Department
- A Central Library available in the College.
- A small departmental Library is available in department.
- Two newly Constructed Digital Classroom are Available in the college. Which are used by every department of the College.
- In every semester department organize Departmental seminars, group discussions for the benefit of the students which is an integral part of their internal assessment.
